Coffee Gets An Italian Makeover

You've probably had a million lattes, right? If you're looking for a new spin on your favorite latte recipe, this is definitely worth a try.

Lattes all start the same. Unless you don't have an espresso machine. In which case, we suggest you check out our No Espresso Latte Recipe. The expresso, steamed milk, and foam are reliable and delicious whether you choose a syrup flavoring or not.

Spoiler: We ALWAYS choose the syrup option.

Rich, natural hazelnut flavor in Hazelnut Sugar Free Sinless Syrups

THE BELLISSIMA HAZELNUT

Does Hazelnut anything make you think of Italian sweets? It certainly does for us. Maybe it's because the luxe, Ferrero Rocher candies, light Italian Biscotti, and rich liqueurs like Frangelico all feature strong hazelnut flavor.

Hazelnut is often paired with dark chocolate and the combination is heavenly. It's one of the reasons why we included both in our Fireside Favorites Collection.

WHY IS HAZELNUT SO POPULAR IN ITALY?

We knew hazelnuts were common in Italian treats, but we never knew why.

Although Turkey is the largest producer of hazelnuts, Italy is home to three of the best hazelnut regions in the world, according to the Taste Atlas. With that abundance of the nut, it's no wonder the Italians perfected the use of hazelnuts in confections, sauces, and liqueurs.

One serving of Hazelnut Sugar Free Sinless Syrups

The Hazelnut Bianco Latte

When we created this recipe, we knew using Hazelnut and Salted Dark Chocolate Sugar Free Sinless Syrups would be a successful combination. (And truly, you should try that combo, too!) But our mission to support low sugar living deliciously means we taking popular drinks from Starbucks and others and giving them a makeover that cuts sugar AND artificial sweeteners.

WHAT IS THE 'BIANCO' PART?

The word 'bianco' is how you say 'white' in Italian. (Bianca is just the feminine version of the adjective.) So, it stands to reason that we would use our White Chocolate Sinless Syrup in this recipe.

White Chocolate isn't *technically* chocolate because it doesn't contain cocoa. Personally, we think dissing white chocolate like that is anti-inclusive and we're willing to die on that hill. White Chocolate IS made from the cocoa bean, after all. It is just made with cocoa butter instead. The flavor profile is different but absolutely still delicious. It's the creaminess for us.

Make the Sugar Free Hazelnut Bianco Latte Recipe from Sinless Syrups

THIS IS THE PERFECT STARBUCKS HAZELNUT BIANCO DUPE

We probably shouldn't toot our own horn, but this recipe tastes JUST LIKE THE STARBUCKS version. The only difference is we don't feel guilty after drain our mug!

By replacing the sugar syrups with Sugar Free Sinless Syrups, you can still enjoy the heavenly taste of the Hazelnut Bianco Latte without the 380 calories and 36 grams of sugar. 😱

Try this recipe for yourself and let us know how you think we did with the makeover.
