A Better-For-You Lemonade Recipe
Lemonade got an "easy button" when companies learned they could crystalize the lemon flavor, add a ton of sugar, and make it into a read-mix powder. Before we knew better, parents mixed up a big batch without a thought about the 24g of sugar per serving.
Once the idea of reducing sugar intake became more popular, the sugar-free/ zero-sugar products started popping up everywhere and used every artificial sweetener from aspartame to acesulfame potassium to sucralose.
We just knew we could do better.
For a better-for-you, Sugar Free Lemonade, we use lemons, filtered water, and Sugar Free Sinless Simple Syrup which adds a clean, neutral sweetness without covering up the bright, tart citrus of the lemons.
This recipe is made with real, fresh-squeezed lemons, but if time or budget is crunched you can make it with concentrated lemon juice too. Just experiment with the ratio of concentrate to Simple Syrup until it tastes the way you like!

Lemonade for Summer Days
Sugar Free Lemonade is a great drink to have on hand when the weather gets steamy. The sweet + tart combo of flavors always cuts through the heat with refreshment. It's great by itself but is also delicious with some of Summer's favorite foods — salads & BBQ.
You'll love a glass after mowing the lawn or tending the garden. Your kids will love it during marathon softball tournaments or at the pool. You guests will ask for the recipe at your next weekend BBQ.
How to Make Sugar Free Lemonade
You'll want to squeeze enough lemons to get about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice. Depending on how big your lemons are, that will probably mean you use about 8-10 lemons.
To get the most juice from each lemon, roll it under the heel of your hand against your counter top a few times. Using a citrus squeezer or juicer makes this process simple, but if you're into feats of strength feel free to squeeze by hand.
Add 1 Cup of lemon juice to 5 Cups of water, then add 1/3 Cup of Sugar Free Sinless Simple Syrup. Stir to combine and taste to make sure you've achieved the right level of tartness/ sweetness.
Serve over ice with a wedge or wheel of lemon and enjoy!
