Gin Campari Old FashionedSinless Gin Campari Old Fashioned Recipe

Have you ever met an Old Fashioned you didn't enjoy? We haven't either.

We are pretty big fans of the Wisconsin Tavern-style Old Fashioned. So much so that we made our own mixer! But some days call for a slightly different take. This Gin Campari Old Fashioned isn't quite as *simple* as using our Old Fashioned Mix, but it is a great swap if you're counting carbs... or just prefer Gin.

Inspiration for this cocktail comes from Dave Kwiatkowski, Sugar House Detroit, and his featured recipe on FoodandWine.com. Here's our spin:

INGREDIENTS - What you Need

Gin Campari Old Fashioned
  • 2 oz. Gin
  • 1 oz. Campari
  • 3 dashes grapefruit bitters
  • 1 oz Sinless Simple Syrup
  • Grapefruit, Orange, or Lemon zest
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Garnish: Lemon Peel

INSTRUCTIONS - How to Make

This cocktail is among the most straightforward of our retro-inspired. Pour ingredients into a glass over ice, stir, and enjoy.

The Campari + Bitters combination can make this fairly intense, so adjust the Sinelss Simple Syrup to taste. The more zest you add, the brighter the flavors will be. We like the complexity of citrus-forward + floral/herbal gin + bitter liqueur. Take your time with this cocktail. Your mouth will want to enjoy each flavor alone and all of them together.
